Summer Mini Catalogue Creations

These colours just seem to say "bring on summer" to me. They are bright and fresh, in Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie and Rose red using the Scallop square punch and the Designer Series paper Bali Breeze. The flowers from Flower fusion have a brad covered in the new Chunky Sprinkles glitter in the centre. The Lots of Dots wheel was rolled across the card in Taken with Teal.

Stampin' Write markers are still available individually until 14 December. Here the two flowers are coloured using Ruby red write marker and the blender pens. The large flower has also been coloured in the marker. This is the Embace life stamp set from the new Summer Mini. The Designer Series Paper is Ginger Blossom.

Here's another example of the Embrace Life stamp set using Soft Sky and
Old olive and the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper.

These cards are stamped with Whisper White craft inkpad onto the black cardstock. The stamped image is sprinkled with Heat and Stick powder, heated then embossed with Dazzling Diamonds. In real life they are quite stunning. The brad is covered with Dazzling Diamonds.

Stamp sets: Merry, Merry, Brocade Motif, Season of Joy
White Taffeta ribbon is tied around the top of the cards.

Christmas Packaging party

The weekend brought on the fun of a Christmas Packaging Party. We created 6 projects including one Christmas decoration. I really enjoyed myself!

The Christmas Tree decoration was created by attaching scallop circle punch outs to 3 triangles. The pieces were tied together with Whisper White taffeta ribbon threaded through holes created by the Crop-a-dile. Photograhes and a Christmas message can be attached to the inside of the tree.

The Holiday Harmony Designer series paper was punched out after stamping some of the Season of Joy stamps in Whisper White and Purely Pomegranate.

The small star was punched out and attached to the top with Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon attached to the bottom of the tree on this panel.

The first session of the day included a Stamp-a-Stack with coordinating cards to some of the packaging items.

The Christmas tree from the Season of Joy stamp set was stamped in Always Artichoke using the generation stamping technique.

Holiday Harmony DSP was torn across the top and the snowflake stamped in Purely Pomegranate and punched out with a River rock scallop circle punch.

WINTERGREEN origami box. Two 6 inch pieces of Wintergreen Designer series paper were used to fold the lid and base of this package. A snowflake from the Snow Flurries stamp set was stamped in Sage Shadow and punched out. Always Artichoke and Soft Sky circles were also punched out and attached to another piece of the Wintergarden DSP.

Another project was a Slider box using the Dashing Designer Series Paper. The Merry Merry stamp set was used to stamp snowflakes in Real Red and Old Olive on the wrap. Old Olive wide grosgrain wrapped around the box.

The ladies received a chocolate with a lovely coordinating tag also. Some of the ladies consumed the chocolate (as I would) before it was time to fit it in the box. The 1 3/8"circle punch was used for the insert. What else would you put in this box???

Some more coordinating cards and gift certificate. The gift certicate has a brad covered in Dazzling Diamonds applied with a glue dot and looks stunning IRL.

Girls Night in - In pink

These cards were prepared by the ladies at the Girls Night In on Saturday Night. Though it was a pink theme, Purely Pomegranate was used also. The stamp sets used were 'It's So Lovely' and 'Brocade Basics' with Pretty in pink inkpad and Purely pomegranate ink pad.

The night was more successful than we anticipated regarding funds raised for Breast Cancer!! Well done Glenda and ladies!!

The first card used Pixie Pink and Old Olive and the beautiful grosgrain ribbon on both. The card on the right involved creating a flower with the circle scallop punch, using Regal rose cardstock. This proved really popular with a group of ladies on the night. The Always stamp set was used for the branch effect and the Mostly Flowers set for the pretty pink squares.

World Cardmaking Day - Breast Cancer

These are some of the cards you could make at World Cardmaking Day 4 October. Yes the charity recipient is Breast Cancer so the cards are pink. The Christmas tree still had to be green for me though LOL!
Stamp sets used were:
Season of Joy
Looks Like Spring
Scribble This

Birthday Best - Gifts to you

It's Stampin' Up!'s birthday!! Happy 20th Birthday to you!! The birthday gift is yours - 20% of birthday stamp sets when you spend $20.

Here the Birthday Best stamp set is used with the tiny cupcake from the Short and Sweet stamp set. Both these sets are discounted by 20%.

A cool Merry, Merry Christmas

Christmas here is never cool, so it's always fun to make cards that feel cooler when the summer heat starts. Pieces of scrap paper formed the window frames. A white gel highlighted the edges.
Stamp set is Merry, Merry and cardstock is Blue bayou with snowflakes in Whisper white and Not quite navy.

Workshop Creations

These are the creations from the weekend workshop. It was a great day with these and other creations from the new Spring Mini Catalogue walking out of the room.

This card uses the Always stamp set and the new Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon.

The above boxes and card are using the Tart & Tangy stamp set and Designer Series Summer Picnic double sided paper. The cardstock is Real Red and Old Olive.

The colours were admired by all, as the Designer Series paper Holiday harmony is quite stunning. The cardstock used was Always Artichoke, River Rock and Purely Pomegranate. The new Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon was also popular.

Oh, so Lovely Trees

This card started out to be a Make & Take but instead it became a gift to the hostess. How it returned home with my other cards is a mystery!!! So I thought I'd share before it returned to it's new home. I have repeatedly stamped the 'tree' in black and Always Artichoke with the shadow effect stamped in River Rock. A punched circle was sponged over and around. The sentiment was layered and wrapped with linen thread.

Watercolouring

Here the colouring is done with markers and the aqua painter on the water colour paper. It was fun and the colours moved with ease. The markers are the Earth Element colour family though the punched flower is in River Rock. The other flower is Ruby Red cardstock. Doodling on the punched out flowers is done with the chocolate chip marker

The stamp set is Scribble This.

Blurred Vision Colouring

Blurred vision colouring is usually refers to the technique of colouring a stamped image by taking the ink from the outline of image with an aqua painter. Here however I have shaded the leaf and stem with ink from the stamped image using an aqua painter to move the colour. It gives depth and interest, but alittle hard to see in this photo.

The inkpads used were Classic Old Olive and Groovy Guava with Always Artichoke for the wording.

The stamp set is Brocade Basics with Short & Sweet for the wording.

Fab Flowers

Going Gray is not the first inkpad you'd pick up to stamp a flower. Blue bayou is the background cardstock with grey taffeta ribbon and Sky blue panel of cardstock. Stamps used for polka dots is from Polka dots and paisley with wording from Short and sweet and of course the Fabulous flowers flower.

A Perfect Princess!?!

My DD was delighted when this set Perfect Princess arrived in the mail. She even fell to sleep with it in her lap. So I've created a few cards with this set as a result. The diamond on the crown as well as the peeks on the crown are filled with glitter. The white gel pen was used to highlight the card and edge. Cardstock used is Cameo coral, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red.

Doodling Fun!!

The circle punches have been used to created these fun flowers. A Stampin' dimensional is attached behind the flowers to add interest. The circle punches used were the 1 3/8" for the flower and the 1 1/4" punch behind the flower with the 3/4" punch as the centre of the flower and the Scallop circle punch was used for the flower base. Doodling was added around the edges of the cardstock. The narrow grosgrain black ribbon made the stems. Different colours would give a different effect, but these remanents of cardstock were on the desk. Again the Pumpkin pie cardstock has lost alittle colour in the scanning process. Try one for yourself!!

Cameo Coral creation

Well my new Earth Elements Stampin' Write markers haven't been put down since they arrived. They've been colouring in stamped images, colouring stamps, emphasizing outlines, etc. Here the flower from the Time Well Spent Hostess stamp set has been coloured with the Cameo Coral and Creamy caramel Stampin' write markers. The background has been pierced in the shape of a circle.

Embossing

The white flowers have been embossed with white embossing powder onto acetate. The acetate sheet acts as an overlay onto the Sky Blue cardstock stamped with Going gray dots. The flowers are from the Carte Postale stamp set. The ribbon is the new gray taffeta ribbon and it's great to use. Happy Birthday from Birthday Best was punched put with the 11/4" punch and the 13/8" punch underneath in Basic Gray cardstock.

Play on Punches

This 6 x 6 page was created using just punches just for fun. It is on it's way to my DD kindy's fairy garden. The clouds are made using circle punches of different sizes with sections punched out with a circle punch and then pieced back together. My DD helped with the colour selections. The stamps are from Garden Whimsy and Simply Said stamp sets.

For a special little princess

This little princess album is for a very special little 5 year girl. It has her birthday party photos inside. It was great to catch up with these friends who live toooooo far away!!!

The flowers are punched with the 5 Petal flower in Pure Pomegranate and the 'a' is from the Big Deal alphabet. The paper is from the 12 x 12 Berry Bliss double sided paper with the background stamped with flowers from Simply Said stamp set. The Berry Bliss paper is used throughout the album with some pages pink and others cocoa themes. This was fun to make.

The chipboard album is from Kaisercraft.

Simply Taken with Teal

Here's want happened when Taken with Teal and River Rock inkpads were on the desk. These colour combinations just happened but the result was to my liking. I used the Crop-a-dile to emboss dots on the card using the Simply Said stamp set. The sponge daubers were used to add interest to both cards. The Scribble This stamp set is always so easy and fun to play with. The brillance of the colours is lost alittle in the scanning................

Just a Touch of Nature

The Touch of Nature stamp set jumped off the shelf for this one. There is an bright orange felt circle under the Chocolate Chip flowers that is not true to the colour in real life. But you'll get the effect anyway I guess. Craft cardstock has been used for the card. The Very vanilla has been rounded with the Rough Texture Stampin' Around wheel.

It's Out Workshop cards

Here's the cards and package from the workshop Belinda and I had over the weekend. It was a great afternoon and busy getting 5 cards and one package completed. The stamp sets featured on these are all new in the 2008-09 catalogue - Baroque Motif, Brocade Basics and Fabulous Flowers. New colours were also used - Basic gray, River Rock, Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate. The ribbons are also new to the current catalogue including white taffeta ribbon, double stitched Purely Pomegranate and the wide Old Olive grosgrain.

Baroque Motif

Here's the card I made for the Scrap Therapy class on the weekend. I have used River Rock from the new In color range, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip cardstock. The background has been 'wheeled' with the rough textured jumbo wheel.

Mother's Day Gift Certificate

Well it's nearly Mother's Day again and yes you can suggest that perhaps a Gift Certificate with Stampin' Up is what you would like. These certificate holder uses the same colour combination as the card below. I hope you are the lucky recipient.

For a Friend

Baroque Motif stamp set has been stamped in the new In Color Purely Pomegranate across the bottom and then trimmed. This set is just one of my favourites from the 2008-09 Idea Book & Catalogue. Going Gray ink was sponged around the edges for a softening effect. Paper piercing and punches including the new designer Label punch accessorise the top of the card.

Scrapping Genuine Articles

Well here goes a scrapbook page. The stamp set Genuine Articles was used to embellish the side of the photos. The background paper is the very new yummy textured In color Blue Bayou. The Rough Texture jumbo wheel was run across the Kraft A4 cardstock with Linen Thread wrapping around it. Big Deal Alphabet was stamped with Versamark on the Kraft cardstock cut out then used for the titles.

Masking

The white cardstock was masked (with post it notes) before stamping the Canvas background stamp. The flowers from Simply Said were overstamped on the canvas. This was a quick and easy card and fun. Something to add to scrapbook pages also.

Going Gray.....??

Going gray (well perhaps??) was the cardstock used with whisper white and versamark stamped flowers from Simply said and stems from Mixed Bouquet. The Going gray A4 cardstock has been retired also. It is so unusually useful and effective. Also Mixed Bouquet is being retired and it will be missed alot.

Rhinestones are from
KAISER scrapbook.

Bold and Bodacious

These have got to be some of my favourite colours. The flowers are inked in Cool Caribbean and Pumpkin pie. The cardstock is chocolate chip with Au Chocolat designer series paper. The stamp set is Bodacious Bouquet. Pity some of these colours won't last. The Cool caribbean is part of the in colour range and won't appear in the next catalogue. The Au Chocolat double sided paper is available until 31 March also. The swirl is stamped in Whisper white craft ink pad and the pumpkin pie half circle has been stamped with Versamark and the Canvas background.

Monday 11 February 2008

Artfully Asian

Using the leaf stamp from the Artfully Asian set only, it has been stamped repeatedly on the side panel and coloured in black. Then stamped in white on black and coloured in white, using a circle punch to add to the card. The centre image has been coloured in Pretty in Pink. The photo, well, gives an indication of what it looks like. The canvas background stamp was lightly inked in white and stamped on the black background.

Chocolate!!!

This card uses the designer series double sided paper Au Chocolat from the Summer mini catalogue. The Mixed Bouquet rose was stamped in Basic brown ink onto Very vanilla cardstock and coloured simply with the blender pen before the ink had dried. Stay tuned to see more of this paper on cards and albums...................

Friendship Blooms

Sonya Rossetto has created these beautiful cards with the Sale-a-bration set called FRIENDSHIP BLOOMS. The cutout flowers are embossed in white on vellum which creates a wonderful effect. Bashful blue cardstock and ink were used also. Lovely!!

Coaster Mini Album

I have put a few photos of the kids, that they'd taken of each other, into this mini album using coasters for each page. It was fun and easy. The colour scheme evolved from the photos.

Stampset: Big deal Alphabet

Star!

One for the kids perhaps using the Big Deal Alphabet and a star I traced out. The colours are a little better in real life.

Cardstock & ink: True thyme, Cool Caribbean, Sage shadow

Stamp sets: Big Deal alphabet, Riveting and Polka dots and paisley

Green tree frog fun

I've just started a few kids projects. Perhaps it's because of school holidays but this card uses Pocket Fun to make a birthday card. The green frog has Crystal Effects so it's nice and slimy. Again money or a gift voucher can be slipped inside the front pocket.
Cardstock: Gable green, Not quite navy, real red
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Olive green
Stamp sets: Pocket fun, Polka dot & paisley, Canvas, Riveting
