My Digital Studio

My Digital Studio has now arrived at Stampin' Up! in the South Pacific and this is my first attempt using the FREE MDS Trial software.  I do need more practice but I was impressed with how easy it is to use and the ability to use the stamps, embellishments and layout to suit my own style. The My Digital Studio software is called MDS (item 130646) and is available as a download for $24.95 and it is loaded with a bunch of content to help you to get started. However if you aren't quite ready to buy, start with the 30-day free MDS Trial (item 130910). It also has content to help you get started. To learn more or acquire your own copy go to my Stampin' Up! website to shop online www.ruthmassey.stampinup.net

Relay for Life Fundraiser with Elegant Eleanor

What a great night?  We made all the items below at the Cardmaking Fundraiser for the Relay for Life Team that I have been supporting for about 4 years.  The ladies were so efficient that the cards were made in record time. We used the Seasonal Catalogue Designer Kit to make a box with 3 mini cards inside. Summer Starfruit, Basic Grey and Sahara Sand set the colour palette.

Heart of Christmas

The negative of the Kraft card stock was wiped with Whisper White craft inkpad with Heart of Christmas stamped with Early Espresso onto the base card.  Be of Good Cheer DSP strips were placed on the bottom to add colour and balance.  The sparkle of the DSP doesn't show but looks great in real life.

Come to Bethlehem

The main image of Come to Bethlehem is white embossed on Kraft cardstock and then cut out using the Framelits Apothecary Accents Framelits die.  The Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Lucy Brocade folder.  The Kraft tulle finishes off the background.  Keep the negative piece of Kraft cardstock......

Gingerbread house

This may give you a better idea of the gingerbread house in the previous post.  It uses the Kraft box as a base and is decorated using the Be Of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Heartfelt Event In Brisbane recently

The Heartfelt Event in Brisbane was a wonderful and definitely on the to do list for next year.  The Vintage frame was my sampler of emboss resist, embossing on tulle, chipboard, timber, acetate, ribbon and sticky strip, using the new heat tool and gold embossing powder.

Kraft Box - can you see it?

@1990-2012 Stampin' Up! Ruth Massey

I was approached by Stampin' Up! to man a table of my choice in the Product Playground at the Heartfelt Event in Brisbane.  I chose the Heat Tool table which was a wonderful choice as it was shared with two other lovely ladies.  And together we created display items and helped demonstrators use the new heat tool and embossing powders for hours on end.

Our requested display stamp set was Scentsational Season, Be of Good Cheer DSP and also the Sugar and Spice scented embossing powder. The beautiful frame was created by Tui.  I used a Kraft box to form the base of the Ginger bread house and it was also able to store candy canes and other lollies, etc.  The roof of the gingerbread house was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I hope you like it even though the photo is not a close up of the gingerbread house.

Christmas Tree

Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Designer Series Paper Letters to Santa were used to create Christmas gifts to place under the Christmas Tree.  The Christmas Tree is by Twiddleybitz.  Stampin' Up! rhinestones were added for bling.  The pot of the Christmas Tree is designed to display photos.  Dazzling Diamonds glitter highlights the tips of the Christmas Tree but is hard to see in the photo.

Christmas Canvas

This took abit of time gold embossing stamped images, sponging and embossing cardstock then attaching the pieces in some kind of order on the canvas.  But I'd do it all again.  I used a combination of Stampin' Up! Christmas stamp sets - Dasher, Season of Joy, Tree trimmings, as well as the Mocha Morning, Letters to Santa and Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper.
