Shimmer Dasher

So easy to use and adorable! Dasher is stamped in Early Espresso than punched out with a 1 3/4" circle. The edges were than sponged with Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso. Though you can't really see it in the photo the entire image was sponged with Frost White Shimmer paint. The background cardstock was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then sponged with the Frost White Shimmer paint also. White Taffeta ribbon was attached at the top of the card.

Season's Greetings from Many Merry Messages stamp set was stamped in Whisper White craft ink.

Thanks for looking.

The wide ribbon in Real Red is a favourite of mine, and together with some georgeous rhinestones to make a fabulous card.

Dashing Dasher

The Dasher stamp is one of a few individual stamp sets and it is just great to use! Dasher's reindeer antenna are glittery and shiny with Dazzling diamonds glitter, but we cannot see that in the photo, of course.

Leaving on a jet plane to convention.......

One of the great things about going to a convention is the fun of creating swap cards before you go and then meeting lots of stampers and exchanging cards at the convention.
Stampin' Up is having the annual convention soon and here are some of my swap creations before they go.

What's in the box.............

The Designer Series Paper is called Pink Flamingo and I think we might see alot of it at the convention. Flowers have punched out and layered onto the Ovals die cut centre piece. The stamp set is It's your Birthday and the branch is part of the new 2 step Bird punch. The centre of the flowers uses a small stamp in the Circle Circus stamp set.

Vintage Vogue stamp set in use again with It's Your Birthday stamp set for the sentiment in Soft Suede. The flowers are stamped with Kiwi Kiss, Soft Suede and Baja Breeze. Blue and green is a combination I have been wanting to put together for sometime. So I picked the off cuts of DSP (Designer Series Papers) at random and was happy with the result. The base cardstock is Baja Breeze, then Pacific Point, Baja Breeze DSP, then Bella Rose DSP, as well as some Chocolate Chip DSP.

The above cards may disappear at the team get together but there are still more cards to swap....

If you receive one of these please say hello again as I have one of your lovely cards as well!!

ART CHALLENGE

Each month Stampin' Up! puts out an Art Challenge to the demonstrators. Well I've decided to pass on that challenge to you!! Can't let you miss out on the fun!! This month the challenge is PAPER PIERCING!! Well let's explain by way of example:

Here the stamped image, the letters have been stamped onto patterened Designer Series Paper and then cut out and added to the scrapbook page:

Here's another example

The image has been stamped on Designer Series paper and a black brad added to the centre of the flower. The flowers are then attached to the card front.

If stamp is a bold image you may wish to stamp with versamark before cutting out the image or turn over the cardstock or DSP before using the image on a card or scrapbook page.
I am sure you will find lots more creative ways to paper pierce using your stamp sets. eg the shirt or skirt can be in different coloured papers.
You creation can be either a scrapbook page or a card. I look forward to seeing what is produced!!

Another Favourite

The Vintage Vogue stamp set has hit the favourite list from the Autumn-Winter mini Catalogue. The flowers are so easy to cut out. I have used the clear mount option for this stamp set and am able to stamp the horizontal flower without the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I even joined two lengths in a straight line.(though not on this card) But of cause the Stamp-a-ma-jig is there to ensure a perfect stamped outcome every time. The flowers were stamped in Rich Razzzleberry with a pearl from the Pretties Kit added to the larger flower. The ovals die is more than Easter eggs at this time of the year. It can be layed and stamped on as well. The Spritzer came out to add interest to the background. The black write marker was spritzed onto the Kraft card.

NEW PRODUCTS!! NEW COLOURS!!

No prizes for guessing that Rich Razzleberry A4 was new to my work area and very easy to use.... The Big Shot is also in use with the Top Note die. What a useful and accessible tool the Big Shot is??!!

The Stamp set is Inspired by Nature stamped with Craft white inkpad. With a black write marker trace around the edge of the top note die cut. Also the Little leaf die cut in Kraft was added to the corner of the card, under the new grosgrain ribbon and white grommet.

Easter Time

Another wet Easter here, so lots of creative time for all!!! Here's some of the Easter chocolate parcels that my family is going to enjoy. Despite there varying shapes all the bags contain about the same number of yummy chocolates!!
The Stamp set used was Good Egg stamped in Basic Black onto the new colours in the Autumn-Winter mini catalogue NOW avaiable. The cardstock is Kiwi Kiss, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry. The ribbon is the new polka grosgrain in Rich Razzleberry, and the handle was punched out using the Eyelet border punch. The 2 larger bags use one sheet each of Kraft A4 cardstock and the basket is 6" x 6" of Kraft A4 cardstock. (NB Kraft is now available in 12" x 12")

Princess party

The princess set was created by Shannean as a girls birthday party collection. The princess crown fits inside the party box complete with a wand and openout birthday invitation!! The stamp set used was Perfect Princess and cardstock and ink is Cameo Coral.
